When Ryli mentioned she wanted a garden or a place with that dreamy estate vibe, my mind immediately went to the Philbrook Museum of Art. Who wouldn’t want to get swept away near a historic home surrounded by lush gardens, like stepping into a romantic novel? As we strolled through the gardens, capturing those sweet, candid moments, it felt like the world melted away, leaving the two of them entirely in their element. They had a playful banter and lit up each time they shared a laugh. These two reminded me just how special it is to cultivate an environment where couples can authentically be themselves.

The Philbrook Museum of Art is an incredible wedding or engagement location. It truly has a grand estate feel, mature trees, and beautifully maintained gardens, like gardens, you’d see somewhere royalty lives. It reminds me of… say, “Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo.” Can you guess that movie lol? It felt like a perfect fit for Ryli and Quentin’s style. Ryli’s dress and heel combo were so cute and matched the elegant vibe of the museum perfectly. Her personality was perfect for this session, too. It’s fun to see how the right location can make a moment even more unique, and these two made the most of it.

Not So Typical Museum Engagement Photos

Now, I know when you think of an art museum engagement session, you probably picture large hallways and walls decorated with masterpieces—but as I mentioned, the property here is magical, and we couldn’t pass that up. Ryli loves shooting 35mm film for fun, so we added a little twist to the session. They set up a picnic and took turns capturing each other on film, which perfectly suited them. I couldn’t resist grabbing a few portraits on film as well, sprinkling them throughout the gallery. These candid interactions are always some of my favorites.
