When Sheridan first reached out to me, she said, “The moody, romance, classic documentary-style photoshoot speaks to us in ways we can’t even explain.” And I knew right then—we were a great fit. Sheridan and Garrett are both old souls, drawn to things with story and sentiment—romance, vintage decor, and quiet moments. So when we started dreaming up locations for their engagement session, art museum engagement photos at OKCMOA felt like the natural choice. Elegant, timeless, full of soul… just like them. Their love is steady, thoughtful, deeply felt—and honestly, a dream to photograph.
Garrett’s mom set him and Sheridan up. (Who needs dating apps when your mom is out here doing the real work?) She and Sheridan worked together, and apparently, Garrett’s mom saw something the rest of the world would eventually get to witness: two people whose lives were waiting to intersect. They’ve been inseparable since. Watching them together is like watching a great old film—classic, familiar, and impossibly comforting.
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art was a whole mood. Clean lines, quiet galleries, moody light… it all held this timeless elegance. Sheridan and Garrett’s style leans heavily into antique, romantic, and vintage details, and the museum gave us room for that. There’s something about being surrounded by art that has lived that invites people to settle into themselves and to be still. That’s exactly what these two did.

We started slow inside the museum, where everything felt still and intentional. Then came part two. The temperature outside was unforgiving. The snow was still fresh from the day before, but these two were total champs. Sheridan was in heels, Garrett was in full support mode, and both were down to brave the freezing wind for a few downtown shots that felt alive. They pranced through the quiet streets of OKC, laughing and holding onto each other like they were starring in their own little indie romance.
A softness to this day stayed with me long after I got home and defrosted my fingers. They seriously are the cutest, sweetest, kindest people. The way Garrett looks at her and cares for her is admirable.
