Some stories circle back in the sweetest, most unexpected ways, and Braxton and Jake’s wedding at The Baumberhof felt exactly like that. If you’d told me years ago, when I first photographed Braxton’s sister as a model, that her family would eventually bring me into one of the most meaningful days of their lives, I probably would’ve laughed and said something like, “Well, I hope so,” while internally crossing every finger and toe. But that’s the thing about this job: the connections don’t fade. They quietly wait for their next chapter.

So when Jake reached out about photographing his proposal to Braxton, I was stoked. From the moment I stepped into their world, both of their families welcomed me as if I’d always been there. After shooting the proposal, the way we connected just sealed it. Braxton emailed me almost immediately after they booked the venue, like, “We’re doing this.” And I was already mentally packing my cameras.

The Baumberhof itself has been a dream venue of mine for ages. The sweeping greenhouse ceremony space, the arched windows, the beams catching pockets of sunlight, the ivy-covered walls outside that feel like they were borrowed from somewhere in Europe… It’s a fairytale.

It was one of those perfect fall afternoons that Oklahoma doesn’t always bless us with—70 to 80 degrees, actually. The leaves were just beginning to shift into their autumn colors. The whole vibe of the day was elegant, candlelit, and black-and-white. Braxton had envisioned something elevated and timeless, and somehow every little element rose to meet that vision.

Showcasing The Baumberhof

One of the things I love most about The Baumberhof is that it makes you slow down and notice the details. Let’s start with the glass lap pool aisle, because truly… if I could photograph every flatlay on that surface for the rest of my career, I absolutely would. The greenhouse ceremony space has the most amazing light pouring in.

Outside, the ivy walls and winding stone paths create these painterly backdrops that feel a little European, and the ivy was just beginning its fall transformation. And of course, the hand-champagne wall. If there’s anything that screams “elevated but still completely fun,” it’s champagne magically appearing through a floral wall via gloved hands. It fit seamlessly into the black-and-white aesthetic while still giving that playful “okay, this is really cool” moment everyone secretly loves.

The true showstopper was the candlelit reception in the Great Hall. The draped fabric overhead softened the industrial space into something warm and intimate. The tall florals, the glow of small gold lamps on every table, and the endless candles created a moody, romantic atmosphere.

A Joy-Filled Celebration in Edmond, Oklahoma

Braxton and Jake’s relationship weaves their families together. They’ve been building a life side by side for years, long enough that both families already move like one big, blended team. Their friends brought the exact kind of energy you dream of on a wedding day—high-spirited, deeply supportive, and just excited to witness this moment.

As the night unfolded, that joy only grew. The dance floor turned into its own little universe—neon glow sticks flying everywhere, and Braxton in her sparkly reception dress bouncing between guests. The grand exit was sparklers firing, guests cheering, while they hopped into their getaway car.

As I packed up my gear, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful that Braxton’s sister trusted me years ago. Grateful that Jake reached out for the proposal. Thankful that these families let me in so fully. And grateful that I got to document their story at The Baumberhof—a venue I dream about photographing. I can’t wait to be back at this incredible Oklahoma venue, photographing more love stories that feel just as full, just as joyful, and just as beautifully alive.

“Tricia, I have no words. These pictures are even better than I imagined. I can’t even decide which one is my favorite because they truly are so perfect and amazing!!!!!! Thank you so much for capturing every moment. I will seriously cherish these forever!!!!! (and forever recommend you to everyone I know!!!).
