Some people come into your life quietly, and before you know it, they’ve woven themselves into your story naturally, like they were always meant to be there. Massey is one of those people. She first contacted me when she and Trent were just a year into dating, wanting to capture their anniversary in photos. Over the years, we stayed in touch, checking in here and there, and when Trent proposed, she wasted zero time making sure I was available for their wedding date. It’s one of the highest compliments when a couple loves your work and wants you there for one of the most important days of their life. Throughout her venue search, she kept me in the loop—sending updates, asking for thoughts, and making me feel part of the process (which I love). When she finally landed on a Sorelle wedding, it just clicked. It was elegant and timeless, but not in a way that felt too polished. It had character, warmth, and just enough Western charm to tie into the aesthetic Massey had envisioned from the start.
There’s something about how a place feels when you know it’s the one. For Massey, that place was Sorelle – The Meadow on Deer Creek—a venue that balanced elegance with rustic charm. It had soul. And you can’t beat the long list of luxury amenities that comes with a wedding at this drop-dead gorgeous venue. Massey had been hunting for a space that reflected both her and Trent—something timeless and sophisticated without being overdone. Sorelle gave them that perfect middle ground. Massey chose a ceremony location that no one had ever used before. Sorelle has a handful of typical ceremony spots, all beautiful, tried and true. But Massey saw something different. She saw the fall trees and their golden leaves and decided that was where they would promise each other forever.
Massey had a vision—classic, modern, and just Western enough to feel like home. She wasn’t interested in cowboy boots on every table or a full-blown rustic ranch vibe. Instead, she wove in Western details in the most understated way. The florals were minimal but intentional, accenting the landscape rather than competing with it. Trent’s attire had a sleek Western influence—polished but with just enough edge. And the reception decor was clean and refined, with subtle nods to their roots, proving that sometimes, less really is more.

The thing about weddings is that the setting is essential, but the feeling makes it memorable. And let me tell you—something about this ceremony was just that. Massey and Trent stood together and said their promises. Then, wrapped in golden light, we captured their couple portraits, which are stunners.
The wedding reception at Sorelle felt warm and inviting. There was no shortage of boots hitting the dance floor. This kind of love doesn’t need to prove itself—it just is. They exited their night with a bubble send-off, jumped into their classic white pickup truck, and drove off as a married couple.
