Claudia and Kenneth are a dynamic duo. Claudia is a real estate agent, and we met through a mutual friend and hit it off immediately. She initially hired me for headshots and loved my editing style so much that when Kenneth popped the question, she instantly called me to capture their engagements and elopement. Their vintage Dallas micro wedding was inspired by the historic Airbnb home they chose for their ceremony and reception. This place was a vintage lover’s dream, complete with stunning furniture, wallpaper, and architecture that truly transported us back in time.
A Love Celebrated Across States
Claudia and Kenny come from different parts of the country (her family is in Texas, and his on the East Coast), so they decided to get legally married at the courthouse and then have small ceremonies and receptions at each of their family’s respective locations. I had the pleasure of photographing their Texas micro wedding/backyard elopement, the first of the two. Kenny’s parents flew down to join the celebration, and his dad even officiated the ceremony, making it extra special. It was August in Texas, so naturally pretty hot and humid outside. We tried to keep most activities inside to beat the heat.
Vintage Charm in Every Detail: Claudia and Kenny’s Dallas Micro Wedding
These two chose a historic Dallas house for their wedding, which also happens to be an Airbnb. They fell in love with the vintage touches throughout the home, from the furniture and wallpaper to the architecture. The setting was perfect for their intimate ceremony and reception, and I made certain to incorporate those unique and beautiful elements into their details and pictures as much as possible. Despite the heat, the day was filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of vintage charm.
